How it works
Three steps to a fair comparison
From 23 December 2026, practices must price the Schedule 1 items they offer using the same 36 names (Art. 7(1); smaller practices from 23 March 2027). We line those prices up on one map.
Search your area
Type a postcode or town, or tap “Use my location”. Pick the treatment and your pet’s size band: cat, or one of five dog weight bands.
Compare like with like
Every practice uses the same 36 item names, so a castration here is a castration there. Pins show each price against the median of practices nearby.
Check the source
Every price links to the practice’s own published list and shows the date we checked it. Then contact the practice directly: we never stand in between.

Our promise
Independent, and it stays that way
The Pet Bill is funded by clearly labelled ads, never by the practices it compares. How we get prices
No paid ranking
Results are sorted by price or distance, never by who pays. No practice can pay to appear, to rank higher or to be shown more prominently.
Ads are labelled
Any advert says “Ad” or “Advertisement”, and never sits inside a price list, between results or on a map pin.
Every price is sourced
Each price carries its source link and the date we checked it. Prices we have not re-checked for 45 days are no longer shown as current.

All guidesCommon questions
Where do the prices come from?
From each vet practice's own published price list. Under the CMA Order, vet businesses must publish a standard price list on each practice's website. We collect those lists, and every price on this site links back to the page it came from, with the date we checked it.
When will prices appear?
Vet groups with 15 or more practices must publish their price lists from 23 December 2026, and smaller practices from 23 March 2027 (Art. 3 and 7). Prices appear here as practices publish them.
Is The Pet Bill free to use?
Yes. Current prices are free to search and compare, with no account needed.
Can a vet pay to rank higher?
No. Nobody pays to appear or to rank higher. Results are sorted by price, and any advert is labelled and kept out of price lists and results.
Do prices include VAT?
Yes. The CMA Order requires every price on a vet's price list to include VAT (Art. 7(2)(f)).
What if a price is wrong, or I run a practice and want it removed?
E-mail [email protected]. We correct prices at the next update, and remove a practice at the next update if its owner asks.
